Welcome to ACM Groupsite - ACM's Online Community!
ACM Groupsite is the Association of Children's Museums' central hub online. It's a space where children's museum staff, stakeholders, and partners can view upcoming events from ACM, network with other children's museum professionals, and ask for advice, share ideas, and access resources on our discussion boards.
The ACM Member Resource Community and Hand to Hand Community are benefits for ACM members. If you are interested in joining ACM, contact Membership@ChildrensMuseums.org.

Teachers' use of museum online science resources
Hello all,
We are in the process of a nationwide survey of teachers' use of museum online science content. I know there are a lot of surveys going around right now but we would like to invite you to share this survey with your networks of teachers. I will be sharing the results back out to help museums, zoos, and aquariums, understand what teachers want, what they use, what they're willing to pay, and how they identify online resources from museums.

Toy Library Rentals
Our museum is unable to physically re-open, so we are working on creating ways for families to have a museum-like experience at home. One idea we have come across is a "Toy Library" where families can pay a monthly subscription to rent and return boxes of exhibit components (like a train set, cash register and plastic produce, etc.) that would otherwise be sitting in our empty museum.

I know that this has been discussed in various ways over the past few weeks and months, but I have a question for those of you across the country who have reopened: What has been your observation about families' willingness to come back to your museum? I know that for most of you your attendance numbers are down from typical levels, but I assume that at least some of that is due to the need to maintain social distancing and local limits on the number of people you ...

Best virtual delivery for young children
Greetings everyone,
As we look to open our Science Centre in the coming weeks we are also looking to further develop our online content. We plan to run virtual programming specifically for our littlest of learners (ages 2-4). During these past few months we have been developing content virtually through several social media channels including Facebook live. As we begin to look at programming specifically for young children we need to change our delivery model towards this targeted...
