Summer Field Trip Payment Issues
Hello all! Our museum offers field trips to summer camps, and this year's groups have been extremely challenging from an administrative standpoint. We ask for a deposit at time of booking, then final headcount and full payment 30 days before the date of the trip and no refunds for absent children. But this summer we have been chasing down groups for final payments up until the day of the trip, with many camp leaders dodging our calls and emails to pay the final balance to avoid pay...

Did you get direct tax credit for installing solar panels?
Hi!
I'm hoping to chat with any museums that have used the 30% direct tax credit process to do energy upgrades...in our case we're looking at roofing and solar panels. We have to file the proposal (through our solar contractor) by August to be eligible and just wanted to see if anyone has been through this process. It sounds like we make the investment first, and after a year or so, the government sends a rebate for 30% of the proposed project. Please give a shout or s...
