Sensitive Topic : Parents hitting child while in the museum, what are your protocols?
Hi museum friends. we had a recent incident where a child was repeatedly struck by their caregiver. As a museum we are not mandated reporters, however it was quite alarming for our staff. I'd also mention that in California it is not illegal to spank your child. While we understand all parenting style and values are different, we are wanting to clarify our policies, talking points, engagement tactics for staff.
