Welcome to ACM Groupsite - ACM's Online Community!
ACM Groupsite is the Association of Children's Museums' central hub online. It's a space where children's museum staff, stakeholders, and partners can view upcoming events from ACM, network with other children's museum professionals, and ask for advice, share ideas, and access resources on our discussion boards.
The ACM Member Resource Community and Hand to Hand Community are benefits for ACM members. If you are interested in joining ACM, contact Membership@ChildrensMuseums.org.

Customer Service Handbooks for Frontline Staff
Hello Folks,
I am in conversation with my friend and colleague Stephanie Nemcok from the Calgary Public Library who wanted to know if I had access to any Customer Service Handbook developed for use for frontline staff. She thought museums would have something like this. Our organization doesn't, so I got curious and thought I would ask here if anyone would be willing to share their customer service handbooks to me and her as examplars?

What Small Things do You do to Show Appreciation for Museum Donors?
Hi!
We've traditionally given small handmade gifts at our fundraising gala to guests who have donated over a certain amount to our museum, often necklaces or other wearables they can then wear around the gala the same night. This was originally to both show our sincere appreciation with the handcrafted item, and to be a good conversation starter at the gala. Anecdotally, we've had a handful donors say they donated higher amounts in order to get one of these items as well.

Policies and/or Experiences with Meta Glasses?
Have any museums had experiences with visitors using Meta glasses? Anyone have policies on guests using Meta glasses? Look forward to hearing what others have to share.
