Events for Families in Crisis
Hi all,
We host a an event for families in crisis, Shelter Night. This event currently occurs quarterly. It is not publicized, rather we communicate directly with are shelters and foster care organizations serving families and children inviting them to the event. On a recent grant application, we were dinged for calling it Shelter Night. Our comments mentioned what a negative connotation "shelter" implies. They suggested we rename it.
