I think it's 70 hours in the previous 12 months to qualify for 50%.
No special level or category, just a discount on regular membership fees.

Memberships for Volunteers
Do any of your museums offer memberships to volunteers, either free or at a discount? Do you have a minimum number of hours required to qualify? Is there a special level of membership just for volunteers? Any information you can provide that I have not asked would be great! We have not offered this in the past, but are looking at options for the future.
