sock skating rink
I am thinking of making a sock skating rink for an event. Does anyone currently have a sock skating rink? Can you tell me what material you used for the floor? Has anyone tried this and found it to be too slippery? Any information is appreciated. thank you

Maker space recs (and steer clears!)
I'm working on a new maker space for elementary aged kiddos and wonder if I could get some recommendations.
Since tech moves so fast and there's always a need for equipment that is user friendly and also easily serviceable (or hopefully so robust that doesn't happen often), I'd love to hear what everyone else is using.
So far we are thinking of 3D printers, laser cutters, inventable(cardboard cutter), and simple hand tools.
