Support for migrant/unhoused families in state shelters
Here in Massachusetts, the number of families housed in the state shelter system has tripled in the past year to more than 7,500. Many of these families are migrants new to the U.S. and the majority have infants or young children. Discovery Museum is anxious to help in a productive and useful way, but the needs of each shelter here are different and the landscape is changing by the minute. At the Grand Rapids Children's Museum, we are hoping to break ground on a new location by 2026-2027.
