We recently began working with our Spanish translator to use less binary and more gender-inclusive Spanish language in our exhibit graphics. We consulted with our colleagues at the Science Museum of Minnesota, who graciously provided us with some good information about how they're doing this. Does your children’s museum budget consumables on a per-visitor basis? If so are you able to share it with me?
I’m especially interested in benchmarks for restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap), makerspaces, and art studios. What cost per visitor do you use?
