Seeking vetting documents- onsite partners, outreach asks, ect.
Hi there!
Wondering if anyone has and is willing to share documents you use to vet outside organizations/potential partners who ask your museum to partner with them. As with many, we get a lot of asks to lead activities at offsite events for free, have a new artists/creators come onsite, ect. and are curious how other spaces balance these asks. We want to stay true to our mission, create new meaningful partnerships, but not overload our calendars with last minuet asks. Thanks!

Museum Shop: Vendors
Hello Everyone, Chris Chun-Seeley Director of Operations for the Children's Museum of Rock County in Wisconsin. We are set to open up in the fall and I am currently looking to source around 4-5 items to start our Museum Gift Shop. My current thoughts are to offer Clothing (shirt for summer, long sleeve spring/fall, sweatshirt Winter), Stuffed Animal (just submitted a quote to custom plush), Drinkware (mug/thermos), Book, and small Toy. There is a potential for stickers of our "Fun" name ...

Consider Partnering on the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge:
The Second Lady of the U.S. recently launched the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, and all children (K-8) are invited to join! Participants will read and track 12 books of their choice between June 1 and September 4. Every book counts! Children who participate will be eligible for prizes and a chance to visit Washington D.C. The challenge aims to foster a lifelong appreciation for reading, build strong literacy skills, and help students head back to school confident and prepared.
