New Year's Eve Celebrations
I am from a brand-new museum in WI that is projected to be open by the Holiday Season of 2026! As I our events, I would love to hear feedback on New Year's celebrations!
We are going to do a countdown and a drop of some sort but I am trying to decide what we want to drop from our 2nd story balcony! I have facilitated a confetti drop before so I have some experience with that material. I would love to hear:

Lost & Found: How Does Your Museum Handle Valuable Items?
Hi everyone!
I’m currently reviewing and updating our Lost & Found procedures at a children’s museum, and I’d love to hear how other museums handle valuable or sensitive lost items.
We have a standard Lost & Found log, and our team generally does a good job of documenting regular lost items. Where we’ve run into some challenges is with items such as:
- Cell phones
- AirPods/headphones
- Wallets and purses
- Car key...
