Volunteer Screening and Waivers for Public Events
Our emerging museum (not yet open) is planning to participate in several community events in 2025, including farm markets, parades, kids' festivals, etc. What level of background check/screening would you recommend for volunteers, and would you say we ought to require volunteers to sign waivers?
If you have any examples, screening tools, or partnerships (e.g., with schools for background checks), I’d appreciate any insights you can share.
