ACM Groupsite is the Association of Children's Museums' central hub online. It's a space where children's museum staff, stakeholders, and partners can view upcoming events from ACM, network with other children's museum professionals, and ask for advice, share ideas, and access resources on our discussion boards.

Said: Our signs have a bandage on them and state "This exhibit has a boo-boo." It's cute and every child knows what the bandage, and the word boo-boo, represent.

Said: We have tried to add some science facts or fun facts about the exhibit while it is down, so even though they can't experience the exhibit they still get some fun fact/knowledge :) 
Said: We're a space museum, so ours read, "Houston, we have a problem." I think appealing to a pre-reading visitor with the bandaged head emoji is great.  Or, if you don't want to go the emoji route, and illustration of some crazy gadget...
